Incoming Interfaith Council

A new Christchurch Interfaith Council was elected this evening at the AGM, with the following members:

  • Ramanuja Das (Hindu)
  • Dianne Downward (Unificationist)
  • Isaac Freeman (Baha'i)
  • Menachem Goldstein (Jewish)
  • Ibrahim Abdel Halim (Muslim)
  • Bertha Hurley (Roman Catholic Christian)
  • Anwar Jahan (Baha'i)
  • Trevor Jones (Muslim)
  • Derek McCullough (Unitarian Universalist)
  • Ronald McIntyre (Presbyterian Christian)
  • Hugh Perry (Presbyterian Christian)
  • Surinder Tandon (Hindu)

i think this is good,strange & appreciating.....there is no doubt in this that we are now in that kind of world where wer come across different and strange things happening in this world. Innovation is everywhere, personally I am also a fan of innovation, no matter in studies, technologies, science, beauty, fashion (but it should be good for human kind an "world).

I grieve the passing of the incomparable Rafaa. The news of her passing has struck both Patrick and I very deeply. We knew her so well...loved her and also disagreed and faught with her from time to time! I see the Buddhism is very well represented by Almeric Cheng, I wonder if he’s also a member of the Church of Shambhala, I am more familiar with this aspect of Buddhism since a Buddhist church recently opened in our community.
