Christchurch Interfaith

Greetings, member of Christchurch Interfaith Council.

It’s been over sixteen months since the incorporation of the Christchurch Interfaith Council. Over the period, the council had been operating on kind donations collected during various meetings and the offer of services and venues from many associated religious organisations.

During the last annual general meeting, there had been discussion about the future plans of the council and the necessary funding. It had been decided that, other than obtaining funds from sponsors especially for the 2010 National Interfaith Conference, the council will ask members to pay an annual subscription to support the operation of the council.

In order to allow more people to participate in the Interfaith Council movement without much financial constraint, the council had decided on the following subscription plan.

Individual membership (with 1 voting right) - $10 per annum.

Associated member organisation (with 2 voting rights) - $25 per annum.

All members are welcome to make further donations to the council while paying their subscriptions.

There is also a provision for individuals who have problem in paying the annual subscription; they can remain as a member without paying the annual subscription by sending a written request to the council.

The subscription will be from January to December to make it easy to identify the voting rights at the annual general meeting and will be collected from the beginning the year until the date of the annual general meeting.

We preferred that you will pay your subscription direct to the bank account of the council (Bank of New Zealand account nr. 02-0874-0225470-00) or you can send your subscription by post to Christchurch Interfaith Council, c/o Refugee and Migrant Centre, Lancaster House, crn Madras and Peterborough Street, Christchurch.
Please include your name with the subscription payment for our reference.
